As election day nears, Americans are faced with one of the most important decisions of our time. On May 4, 2013, we will decide the next flavor of Lay’s potato chips. The three flavors to choose from is Cheesy Garlic Bread, Sriracha, and Chicken and Waffles. I’ve searched near and far, high and low, to find and collect all the flavors so I can bring you the facts before you vote.
Allow me to break them down for you:
3. Cheesy Garlic Bread - Blah
It’s decent, but it’s nothing special. It has the taste and texture of a Pringle. Nothing to see here, keep moving.
2. Sriracha - Pretty Good
I like Sriracha, but I’m not tasting it here. It’s good but it’s nothing we haven’t tasted before. Its just a regular spicy chip. If this doesn’t win there are plenty of chips to replace it.
1. Chicken and Waffles
This one is truly unique. I love chicken and waffles and visit Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles every time I’m in LA. The chip did not let me down. It’s the taste of maple syrup with a hint of chicken aftertaste. After doing a taste test at my local stomping ground, Vickery Park, these chips won hands down. I know these chips may not be for everyone, but I personally think it’s time to vote for a change we can believe in. This one has my vote.
